Gutta (Corazon og Auzengate’s Pride) har oppført seg som huskyer og latt seg snø ned mange ganger. Det har ført til litt is på ryggen. De har det godt og varmt så det er ingen problemer for under det tynne islaget er det tørt og varmt, men vi tenkte nå likevel at vi skulle bli kvitt dette for de. Så nå er de i varmerommet i det nye uthuset. Der er det godt og lunt, og med varmeovn og vifte skal vi få de isfrie og tørre.

Jentene har i mellomtiden fått tilgang til guttas område også, bare for variasjonens skyld. Det var populært! Nytt område med “ny” mat førte til løping, hopping, basing i snøen og mye moro. Vi har forsøkt å ta noen bilder av dette, men må nok investere i et kjappere kamera. Moro var det lell!

The alpaca boys are moved into the heated room

The boys (Corazon and Auzengate’s Pride) have acted like huskies and let themselves be covered in snow many times. This has caused some ice build-up on their backs. They are in no discomfort, and below the thin layer of ice it is dry and warm, but we thought nevertheless that we should get rid of the ice for them. So now they are moved into the heated and insulated room in the new outhouse. It is nice and warm there, with oven and a fan, and they should become ice free and dry in no time.

In the meantime we have let the girls move freely in the two paddocks, just to give them some variation in their life. That was immensely popular! A new area with “new” food led to running around, jumping, frolicking in the snow and lots of fun. We have tried to get some good pictures of this, but we should perhaps get a faster camera. Fun nonetheless!
